As of December 2nd, Jens Bergensten, or 'Jeb,' was Minecraft Maps appointed to the lead developer spot of Minecraft, confirmed by lead developer and creator of Minecraft) that his co worker, Jeb, was overtaking, via twitter. Jeb has been a constant addition to Minecraft, although game was made by Notch. Jeb was alongside Notch as he added additions to the game including wolves, pistons and map structures. A quote from Notch stated that 'it would be a scary move, but I feel strangely confident' He's what exactly Minecraft needs at this time. He's a bit more mod friendly than I am, and now we have to embrace mods more."
